Johanna Saizan Payne

Johanna has lived in the Roaring Fork Valley for over 35 years. She moved here from Louisiana (New Orleans/Baton Rouge area), where her family continues to live today. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from LSU (Louisiana State University).

Johanna has a true passion for real estate, working in real estate during her college years. She has held a Colorado Real Estate License since 1979. In 1988 she became interested in real estate appraising and received her instruction for licensing at the University of Colorado. She was licensed in the states of New Mexico and Colorado as a fee appraiser. For 15 years since 1991 she worked for the Pitkin County Assessor’s Office as a Senior Certified Residential Appraiser and now she helps property owners protest their property values to the Assessor.

Johanna is married to a specialized contractor and locksmith, Wayne. Their business Beautiful Homes Aspen has given them experience in many real estate arenas including rentals, sales, development and staging real estate. She loves wildlife and she organized “Rookery Watch”, a group of volunteers to monitor the Great Blue Heron Rookeries in the Roaring Fork Valley. She also monitors bald eagles, golden eagles, osprey and grebe’s reporting her logs to the DOW, the Rocky Mountain Bird Observatory and the Roaring Fork Conservancy.

Johanna has a true working knowledge of Aspen and the Roaring Fork Valley. She knows the properties and their history, she loves being able to help her clients find the perfect property for their stay and once they are in love with Aspen, helping them find the perfect property for their lifestyle.
